Protocol 1: COVID 19 – HJRFC Season 2020/2021 return to play protocols
All of us have become very aware of the need to observe many guidelines/regulations as we resume our business, social and sporting lives in what has begun now to be known as the “new normal”. It is only right that, in returning to train at Hughenden for the incoming season (Ladies/girls begin on WEDNESDAY AUGUST 5th and Men on Tuesday August 11), we all observe the regulations provided for us by the Scottish Government, Sportscotland and the Scottish Rugby Union (SRU). These are designed to keep us safe and also therefore all others present on the grounds during the sessions we attend. We should also bear in mind that there will be other users of the facilities at Hughenden present at the same times as us – customers at café Source Too, tennis players, cricketers and social members – and we should respect their rights as well.
There are therefore a number of protocols/guidelines which each of us will have to adhere to when we return to train at our club. These will be found here on hjrfc.com and on our Facebook pages. Currently there are some EIGHT separate sets of guidelines and these will be added to when Scotland enters PHASE 4 of the easing of lockdown.
The first of these is a list of “Do’s”, some NINE stand alone requirements for all of us to observe. There will be some familiarity with some, but not all items and it is vital that we are not complacent in their observance. More will be added.
Thank you for taking the time to read this.
