We are looking for a Lead Physiotherapist to join HJRFC to co-ordinate and manage a team of physiotherapists to provide general treatment, assessment and rehabilitation of players injuries as well as provide game and training cover. The Lead Physio will also prepare and maintain a schedule for physio cover whilst managing materials and equipment required.
Hillhead Jordanhill RFC is an amateur rugby club playing in the Men’s 1XV playing in the National 3 League and the Women’s 1XV playing in the Premiership in Scotland. The club also boasts both a Men’s and Women’s 2XV and an occasional Men’s 3XV. The grounds and clubhouse are situated in the west end of Glasgow and the club benefits from having a dedicated treatment room.
Our current Lead Physiotherapists, Mrs Aoife O’Shea McCrorie, has stepped back after 7 years in the role. A “bank” of experiences physios remain, who are willing to assist the new lead physio to manage the workload, both on match days and during midweek clinics.
Responsibilities
The role will include:
- matchday preparation;
- General treatment, assessment and rehabilitation of player injuries;
- Preparation and management of a schedule for physiotherapy cover (mainly Tuesday and Thursday evening clinics as well as weekend games)
- Management of all materials and equipment for the delivery of a treatment service for players.
Qualifications
All applicants should be HCPC registered and be full-members of the Chartered Society of Physiotherapy (CSP). They should also hold a current qualification in pitch-side first aid.
