The Hillhead Jordanhill shield, being accepted by Jim, was intended for Jimmy Sinclair, the chief guest, at the Pre-match lunch. Unfortunately Jimmy has suffered poor health for a considerable time, and was unable to attend to receive his award from the Hills club.
Jimmy Sinclair has been one of the most kenspeckle faces in rugby in west central Scotland for a considerable period, having enjoyed coaching spells and success at Hillhead, Hillhead Jordanhill, Dalziel, Allan Glens, Cartha QP and latterly with the SRU in player/mentor liaison.
Everyone at Hughenden for the lunch expressed their best wishes in a sustained round of applause for Jim, his wife Janis and their sons, Callum and Greg.
