Given the last game for our men was December 16th v Orkney and our women December 2nd v Heriots, the opportunity to restart with some “ gentle” training was grabbed by some of our playing members.
A fairly severe overnight frost would not have allowed competitive games to take place – the area in front of the FRASER STAND was still in shadow at 13.00 – but other areas on the well grassed Hughenden playing surfaces were just capable of taking a stud.
Some 20 men and 15 women enjoyed the 90 minute run out in some glorious sunshine. Tonci Buzov drilled the men, while Stephen Gillies for the women oversaw a gentler reacquaintance with the oval ball and some interval running and passing.
At the conclusion many of the participants adjourned to the Sports Club Bar for some welcome Mac N Cheese.
